BBBS is a youth-mentoring agency. We match youth, ages 6-14, with adults who serve as mentors. The youth we serve are primarily from single-parent homes or show a demonstrated need for an additional role model. We have both a community-based program and a school-based program, where volunteers see children in the schools.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. This agency provides special trained community volunteers to represent children while they are in state custody. Volunteers are actively involved with the courts, DHS personnel, foster families, adoptive families and the biological families of the children for whom they advocate. Services are provided by the CASA volunteer advocates after appointment by the court. The agency office provides staff and interagency resources for volunteer advocates.

This agency is a resource and referral center serving Washington, Benton, Carroll, and Madison counties to help parents locate childcare and parenting education opportunities. Our database of detailed information on licensed and registered childcare providers is available to all parents. In addition to location and phone numbers, we can provide information on fees, hours available, whether educational or creative programs are offered, and much more to help a parent in their effort to locate the provider that will best match their child's needs. This agency also hosts and facilitates parenting classes offering education and training. A parenting resource library is available on-site. All services are free of charge.

  • Dare to Be You: A family oriented program designed to provide parents with simple and effective strategies to improve parenting, problem solving, communication skills, and coping with stress. Series of 12 weekly classes with priority given to Head Start families.

A child-focused facility designed to aid child maltreatment victims and their non-offending family members. The focus of the program is the reduction of trauma associated with a child maltreatment investigation and directing clients to needed services. CSC serves in Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Madison, Sebastian, and Washington counties. Children seen at the center are accepted by referrals from Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division, DHS, local law enforcement, and other appropriate agencies.
To report a suspected crime, call the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-482-5964.

The agency is dedicated to helping people manage their finances through confidential analysis of current income and expenses. Crisis intervention and suicide prevention services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; information and referral for people in need (housing, shelter, food, utilities, drug and alcohol programs, etc.), prevention programs in peer helping, violence prevention, etc. Extensive speaker's bureau can do workshops/presentations on-site on any of the above topics plus conflict resolution, anger management, suicide warnings, etc.

Critical Incident Response Team

Regularly scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly in-home visits for any individual or family living in Washington or Benton Counties who is expecting or parenting their first newborn; offers information about raising children (growth and development, health, nutrition, discipline, activities), life skills, and community resources. Teen parents receive prenatal and parenting education during home visits and/or participate in teen support groups which combine educational topics with open discussion. All services are offered free of charge.

Assists schools and communities in a pro-active, prevention based approach to reducing the risk of alcohol and drug abuse. Funding assistance is received from the Arkansas Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention, a division of the Arkansas Department of Health.

  • Prevention Resource Center Clearinghouse: educational and prevention-oriented resources; a loan library of audio-visual and curriculum materials; training sessions and prevention-education workshops and technical assistance in program development, grant writing, and coalition building. RTNWA performs home repair and rehabilitation for low income homeowners
who are elderly, disabled and families with children at no cost to the
homeowner; available to residents of Benton and Washington counties.
Other services include a year-round wheelchair ramp building program. A Rebuilding Year-Round Program assists homeowners with minor repairs, critical to insure that homeowners remain safe, warm and dry. Clients must qualify under certain eligibility criteria for assistance.
