Spring Break Week @ the Jones Center-
This week-long event entertains children and young adults with themed days full of events and activities. Not only can children enjoy events like the popular “Prince and Princess Tea Party” and regional & national
entertainment throughout the week, but they can also bounce on inflatables, enjoy snack time, watch movies, make arts and crafts, put together “mad scientist” experiments, and more! In 2006, over 20,000 children and families gathered to celebrate Spring Break Week @ the Jones Center.

Jammin' @ the Jones Center Summer Concert Series-
In 2007, the Jones Center will host the fourth annual Jammin’ @ the Jones Center summer concert series. The fun begins Saturday nights at 6pm with pre-concert games and activities. Jammin’ targets families and emphasizes quality entertainment everyone can enjoy. In 2006, more than 3,000 people turned out for local favorites Trout Fishing in America and Big Smith.

Backpack Day-
The 4th Annual Jones Center for Families and Wal-Mart Backpack Day returns next August! This event provides brand-new backpacks and essential school supplies to deserving
children throughout Northwest Arkansas. In 2006, we gave away 750 backpacks, worth over $30 each. Each backpack contained: crayons, glue, highlighters, folders, paper, pencils, erasers, markers, scissors, Wet Ones, school boxes, binders,
Post-It notes and more.

Fall Family Festival-
This one day event held the Sunday before Halloween transforms the Jones Center campus into an outdoor carnival of free food, fun, entertainment, music and games. Over 10,000 people attended the event in 2006.

Worldfest-
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting Worldfest during International Education Week in November, 2007. We envision top-notch musical presentations, lectures, dance, theater, food, arts, crafts-everything that helps people understand more about the cultures and experiences of others.

Health Fair-
In 2006, approximately 900 people attended the Health Fair, which provides free health screenings for adults and children. Screenings include: osteoporosis, vision, hearing, foot, flexibility, body fat, height, weight, spine, blood glucose, blood pressure, peripheral vascular diseases, nutritional status, stress, stroke risk, respiratory status, balance, skin cancer, and mental health. The Health Fair also offers free information on insurance, Medicare, long term care, eldercare, assisted living, home care, senior health and education, exercise programs, credit and financial health, nutritional status,
medications, cancer care and prevention, healthy living and food allergies.
Workforce Skills Development Symposium-
This symposium targets small businesses with a one-day professional training that includes breakfast and lunch. A low registration fee covers two keynote speakers and morning/afternoon breakout sessions. In partnership with JB Hunt, the Jones Center hosts over 150 professionals from a five-state area.
Teen LIFE and Senior LIFE Programming-
Teen LIFE and Senior LIFE programs provide educational, recreational and social activities for area teens and seniors. The seniors take day trips to Branson and go fishing while the teens embark on summer outings to White Water, Tulsa and Devils Den. The Teen Center serves as a study pad during the school week and a fun place to meet up with friends on the weekend. Both programs average over 100
participants at every event.
